ABOUT US


AudioVision, Inc. in San Jose, California, is a non-profit organization that advocates for and provides description services for movies, videos, and television; live theater, education, media, exhibits, public meetings, cruises, park tours and other venues, in order to make these events more accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Our HISTORY


Thanks to Gregory Frazier, we are the standard setter for descriptive services and have been since 1989. We were the first group to be awarded an Emmy in 1990 for the description of the film,Tucker.Recently, we won the career achievement award from the American Council of the Blind.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER


Gregory Frazier was the founder of AudioVision. This video introduced him to the blind community. During the course of this video you will learn about his training principles and what makes a good describer. It is great for many other organizations to see what he felt would make a good describer.
